I've been actively participating in the real estate industry for 12 years; buying, selling, renovating, flipping; and building a rental property portfolio. In 2003 I graduated from Memorial university with a business degree and started a 15-year career in sales and marketing. Success in this field is what allowed me to start investing in real estate in 2008.
