Amanda Suutari is a mixed media artist, illustrator, and educator based in M'ikma'ki (Nova Scotia).
Inspired by the fractal patterns from nature, religious & folk art traditions, and by Western botanical and zoological illustrations, her work expresses a sense of awe and deep connection to life and the planet.
Her art and educational experiences are frequently offered in partnership with mission-driven organizations working towards environmental regeneration, equity, and climate justice.
She has exhibited work in Japan, the US, and Canada, and her designs and illustrations have appeared in books, and amplified brands and storytelling for businesses and nonprofits across Canada.
Her work has been featured in publications such as Penguin India, Stir Vancouver and Withintensions Magazine.
